Data Alchemy AI: Data Alchemy's proprietary AI model

Data Alchemy AI is the proprietary artificial intelligence model of Data Alchemy. It runs on Data Alchemy's own servers and GPUs in Italy and is available as an engine for your document models, alongside the platform's other AI engines.

With Data Alchemy AI, document processing stays in Europe: on Data Alchemy's own servers and GPUs, in Italy.

What it is

What Data Alchemy AI is

Data Alchemy AI is the AI model developed and run by Data Alchemy for reading business documents. It is not a third-party service: it runs on Data Alchemy's infrastructure, on its own servers and GPUs in Italy.

On the platform it is one of the engines you can pair with a document model, as an alternative to Claude (Anthropic), GPT (OpenAI) and the European inference providers Scaleway and Seeweb Regolo.ai. Each document is processed by a single engine, the one chosen for its model: find out more on the AI engines page and the technology page.

Why choose it

Why use Data Alchemy AI

Processing in Europe

With Data Alchemy AI, documents are processed in Europe without going through a third-party AI provider: a useful choice when data sovereignty is a requirement.

Own servers and GPUs in Italy

The model runs on servers and GPUs owned by Data Alchemy, in Italy: you know where your documents are processed and by whom.

One engine per document model

Choose Data Alchemy AI only where you need it: for example for one document model, leaving the other models on the engine you prefer.

An alternative to third-party engines

Alongside Claude, GPT and the European providers, Data Alchemy AI is the option run entirely by Data Alchemy, from the model to the infrastructure.

How to use it

How to use Data Alchemy AI on the platform

Data Alchemy AI is chosen as the engine in the document model, just like the platform's other engines: the rest of the flow stays the same.

  1. 1. Pick the document model

The model describes the fields to read and the reading instructions for one type of document, for example supplier invoices or delivery notes.

  2. 2. Set Data Alchemy AI as the engine

In the model you select Data Alchemy AI as the AI engine: from then on, that model's documents are read by Data Alchemy AI.

  3. 3. Documents are processed in Italy

Every document uploaded with that model is processed on Data Alchemy's servers and GPUs in Italy, and the extracted data carries on through the flow as usual.
